#NewPartnership: Niagara River Lions

We’ve got an exciting new partnership to announce!

Recover Vibe is now officially the partner of Niagara River Lions, the Niagara region’s very own professional basketball team. 

We’re excited to partner up with the River Lions because of who they are and what they stand for. Their values are even exemplified in their mascot, the river lion, which is a mythical creature that’s featured on the Niagara Region’s Coat of Arms. This creature represents pride and the strength of the community, which are two values that the River Lions team lives by both on and off the court. 

We highly commend this fact because these values are what we strive to live by, too. 

Stubs for Cubs

Something about the River Lions that we love is the effort that they put forth to improve their community and create a sense of camaraderie. One of the ways that they do this is through their program called “Stubs for Cubs.” 

Stubs for Cubs allows hundreds of children and their families to attend a River Lions game - these are people who would otherwise not have the opportunity to do so. But it’s made possible through the River Lions’ partners (like us!) to create a night of fun, togetherness, and team spirit. 

The Ben Zwolak Community Ambassador Award

The River Lions understand the lasting value of relationships created through teamwork. Unfortunately, when he was only 21 years old, the River Lions’ manager, Ben Zwolak, passed away from Sudden Arrhythmic Death Syndrome. This came as a huge shock to the team and the community, but the River Lions plan on carrying out Mr. Zwolak’s legacy through this award. Ben was also the team manager for McGill University Men’s Basketball team, where he and Lens-Harly Louis, founder of Recover Vibe, became friends.

The award is given to an individual who displays outstanding citizenship and sportsmanship - not only on the court, but off it as well. It also highlights the importance of volunteerism in the community, as that’s also a big factor on who receives this highly-regarded award. 

Though Ben Zwolak’s time with the River Lions was short, it was impactful and his passing was felt deeply by everyone whose lives he touched. 

We commend the River Lions for helping Ben’s name live on through this prestigious award. 

Recover Vibe x Niagara River Lions Partnership

The good news is that the River Lions are just as excited to partner with us as we are to partner with them. We get to help out an amazing team, and an amazing team can benefit from our professional-grade percussion therapy products.

The Niagara River Lions are able to use the Recover Vibe Burst during their practices and games -  which helps them stay ready and perform their best.

Recover Vibe’s goal is to alleviate pain, reduce soreness, increase performance, and help people all around the world through their journey - and we’re excited that the River Lions chose to join us in that mission.
